About us
Our Mission
We do our best to unlock the full potential of our clients, our children. We want every kid to be able to walk, run, jump, ride a bike, talk, read, write, be happy, and enjoy life. We are working hard to achieve that.
Our History
Manual Therapy Center was opened in 2000 as a private physical therapy practice by Physical Therapist Zaghloul Ahmed, PHD. Five years later we become an agency providing special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy services to children of New York Metro Area.
Our Philosophy
We believe that it is of the utmost importance for our society to value and provide for those differently capable, especially differently abled children. We also believe that as educators, we should provide a positive example from which others can follow and learn. If others observe that importance for our society to value and provide for those differently capable, especially differently abled children are capable and desirous of learning and participating in a general environment, they will have less fear of including and incorporating them into society on an everyday basis. In return, productive and happier people will reward our society.
All children can learn, albeit at different rates and in different ways.
Working as a team with parents is very important to achieve the best outcome for the student. We are professionals, and respect the parents. We encourage them to be active in the education of their child. The parents are the experts on the child and should be included in all aspects of the education of the differently abled student. We look to the parents or guardians of the child to learn what skills the child needs, and get insight into the best teaching approach. We encourage parents to become involved in advocacy groups.
